  WHY ESTABISH A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR LOCAL SKI SHOP

Alpine has been in the ski business for over 16 years and we would like to extend a Thank You to all our customers old and new. Over the years we have seen many trends come and go but one vital constant that is key to any ski shop is service. In this ever-changing corporate world we live in, it is becoming more difficult for the true “Mom and Pop” shops to survive. The introduction of online shopping has certainly been one of the biggest challenges to date. What most consumers perhaps don’t realize is that as a retailer we spend a lot of our own time and money building the brands we represent. We build strong relationships with our reps and their brands which in return allows us to establish a person to person business catering to our customers needs. We do not divert resources away from our core ski and snowboard business like many big corporations do. We do not stray from our roots, which is providing the most knowledgeable and competent service we can give to our customers. Relationships are important, not price points. Another misconception we deal with is MSRP and MAP pricing. We, as well as online retailers must adhere to these policies which are set and dictated by the manufacturers or else we lose the right to sell the product. Often times there is a disconnect with pricing, current up to date date products versus previous years products and purchasing a product that is right for you rather than purchasing an overstocked discounted item. Once again we value our relationships with our manufacturers by following the industry policies and with our customers by servicing their needs, standing by our products and giving the best competitive prices. Bottom line skiers and snowboarders need a shop where they can go for expert advice, expert boot fitting, and essential services such as adjustments, tuning, equipment repairs that you just can’t get online. Every customer deserves to be engaged with a knowledgeable sales person who knows the product, personally test the product and truly cares about the customer not just their profit margin.
